Obama Mania!

Ayer fue un gran día en la historia de Estados Unidos y del mundo. Por fin, pudimos darle la bienvenida como Presidente oficial del país a Barack Obama y darle el tan esperado adios a George Bush!
“Ahora, hay algunos que cuestionan la escala de nuestras ambiciones, que sugieren que nuestro sistema no puede tolerar demasiados grandes planes. Sus memorias son cortas. Se han olvidado de lo que ha logrado ya este país; lo que hombre y mujeres libres pueden lograr cuando la imaginación se combina con el propósito común, y la necesidad a la valentía”, afirmó Obama.

En definitiva, es tiempo de soñar pero tambien ha llegado el tiempo de luchar y esforzarnos para convertir esos sueños en realidad.


Yesterday was a memorable day for United States and the whole world. We were finally able to welcome Barack Obama as the official president of the country and we also gave the long waited for good-bye to George Bush!

It's deffinitely time to dream, but also time for us to put in extra hours and work, to make them reality.

I think every girl can relate to this Beyonce song at (at least) one point in there lives. As women, we have come a long way but when it comes to relationships, there's so many differences we need to conquer.
It's disturbing on how you get judged for being unfaithful by your sex and this song illustrates that to the perfection.
Now don't get me wrong, I believe that men can also be wonderful and completely faithful, I just think it's a problem we need to solve as a whole. This isn't completely men's fault but also our fault for being so forgiving and tolerant when faced with this type of situation.
It's a matter of understanding love isn't just saying you love somebody, it means caring, being faithful, honest, and most of all, putting yourself in that persons shoes and seeing how your decisions can affect that special person in your life.

Creo que toda mujer se ha podido relacionar con esta canción (de Beyonce) en por lo menos un momento en su vida. Como mujeres, hemos logrado muchas cosas pero con respeto a las relaciones, todavia nos falta mucho por superar.
Es inquietante como las personas somos juzgadas por ser infieles dependiendo de nuestro sexo, y esta canción ilustra eso a la perfección.
Ahora, yo tambien se que hay hombres que entienden y respetan el valor del amor, solo pienso que es un problema que todos debemos corregir. Este dilema no es culpa completamente de los hombres, sino tambien de nosotras por ser tan tolerantes y por, a veces, perdonar tan fácilmente.
Es cuestion de comprender que amar no es solo decirle a esa persona que tu lo amas, sino, significa ser honesto, fiel, comprensivo y lo más importante es ponerte en el lugar de tu pareja y analizar como tus decisiones afectan esa persona especial en tu vida.

En tiempos dificiles...sonríe. When times get rough...smile.

A pesar de mi naturalidad de ser excesivamente sentimental, a veces, aunque mi corazón estè llorando, mi sonrisa dice lo contrario, pues si me dejo llevar de mis acostumbradas lagrimas, mis ojos no podrán ver con claridad todas las oportunidades con las que la vida me bendice.

Although by nature, I'm an overly emotional person, sometimes when my heart cries, my smile says the contrary because if I let my tears control me, my eyes wont be able to see all of the opportunities life blesses me with.

2009!!

New year, new beginning, new sorrows, new blessings and many new memories!! 2009 is a year that has just begun and like all, it's a chance for a fresh beginning; an opportunity for us to move on and continue growing, learning and enjoying from all of lifes pleasures.

Hope 2009 is filled with blessings and joy for us all, not as individuals but as a whole.

My main resolution for 2009 is to not allow lifes obstacles to get in the way of my dreams and goals...

Nuevo año, nuevos comienzos, nuevas lamentaciones, nuevas bendiciones y muchas nuevas memorias para todos!! El 2009 es un año que a penas ha comenzado y como todos, es una oportunidad para comenzar de a nuevo; una oportunidad para nosotros continuar creciendo, aprendiendo y disfrutando de los placeres de la vida.

Espero que el 2009 estè repleto de bendiciones y alegrias para todos, no tanto individuales pero a todos como conjunto.

Mi mayor resolución para el 2009 es no permitir que los obstaculos de la vida, me alejen de mis sueños y metas...
